What are cookies? How do we use them? How to control them?

Cookies are small, temporary text files stored on your computer or mobile device to ensure the proper functioning of a website and contain information about the websites you have visited. Cookies make internet usage easier for the user—for example, when logging into a user profile on a website, the browser suggests the username. However, cookies are also used for other purposes, such as helping website owners gain more information about the interests of their website visitors.

Inspiria – Jaunatnes spēks uses Google Analytics services to provide information about services in web searches; this service involves storing cookies on your device.

The cookie stores information that you visited our website, when it happened, remembers the user's IP address, and which sections of the website were viewed. This information is placed at the disposal of Google Inc. (Ireland) and is stored for 60 days on Google servers (in the European Union and the USA). Before the data is transferred to Google, IP addresses are anonymized by replacing them with a specific code assigned to each individual user.

Google, for its part, confirms that data processing, including the transfer of data to third parties, complies with the requirements of European Union and US regulatory acts, and separately notes that the received data is not used for providing Google services.

You can prevent the transfer of cookies to Google by using the “Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on” (view Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on).
You have the option to delete cookies from your computer or other device, as well as to use the settings offered by most browsers that prevent the creation of cookies.

It is worth remembering that by deleting all cookies, your settings on individual websites will also be deleted. Additionally, it should be noted that if you block the creation of all cookies, many websites (including ours) may start to function incorrectly and the provision of the service may be interrupted; for this reason, we do not recommend choosing the option to block the creation of all cookies.

Virtually all web browsers provide the option to:

  • View stored cookies and delete them;
  • Block third-party cookies;
  • Delete all cookies when closing the browser;
  • Block all cookies;
  • Block cookies from marketing websites;
